San Agustin is a school in Lima, Peru. It was founded as part of the evangelizing mission of the Order of the Augustinians by the Provincia Nuestra Señora de Gracia del Perú. Considered one of the most prestigious colleges in Peru.

History

His first locality was located in the Convent Nuestra Señora de Gracia, commonly known as "St. Augustine" in Jr. Ica in the historic centre of Lima.
   It came into office on March 15, 1903 under the direction of Fr Ignatius Monastery The headlines teacher was composed of eight (08) and the religious student population, up fifty-two (52) students.
   Until the year 1920 ran a boarding school, with capacity for about eighty (80) students.
   In the initial local stayed for 52 years until 1955. Authorized by R. M. No. 1369, February 16, 1955, its headquarters moved to local Avenida Javier Prado, at the intersection with Paseo de la Republica, in the district of San Isidro. In 1978, to celebrate its Diamond Jubilee was in the register of Honor from the Ministry of Education. On December 21, 1958, took place the solemn blessing and inauguration of the college chapel. It also inaugurated the flag, called Section Child, currently occupied by 3 and 4 grades of primary school. In 1959 he inaugurated the Library School. In 1969 he inaugurated the great Coliseum, to accommodate some 3000 spectators. In 1985 was reinstated early childhood education, in the form of initial education. In 1993, began coeducation (until 1992 was only males) who gradually been increasing since the initial year to year until Fifth Grade High School. Since 2004 the premium Promotion Joint Promotion.
   The continued expansion of pavilions and in 2000 began construction of an auditorium that was inaugurated on June 30 of 2001, being the PR Director Senén González Martín.
